Lightning were on the end of a 19-run defeat to their rivals at Old Trafford on Friday night as Jonny Bairstow and Will Luxton formed an impressive partnership to help the visitors on their way to a score of 236.

Steven Croft's side fell short in their attempts to match that total, and were left to rue a number of missed opportunities.

But Green starred with bat and ball as Lightning bounced back against Durham on Sunday, winning the battle of the top two in the Vitality Blast North group to put themselves on the verge of qualification for the quarter finals.
