Easy travel in Preston is non- existent nowadays

On a This Morning episode, which is broadcast to the whole nation, the presenters were discussing the possibility of early evening nightclubs.

One presenter chirped up: "It then means that we could all get the Tube or catch a bus home and be in bed for 11."

Oh, and guess from where the programme is broadcast (another clue is that the Thames is seen flowing behind the studio): London.

Did it not enter the presenter’s mind that this is being broadcast nationwide, so only London and Glasgow would have easy access to the Tube, though the bit of railway going underground through Birmingham New Street and Moor Street stations, as well as parts of the Merseyrail system, and using 'proper' trains may also qualify?

I'm just off now to build my own Tube under Preston. At least that way I will avoid all those bus gates and lanes.
