BAE workers blocked from starting work by protest

Workers at BAE Systems had a delayed start to the day after one of the more disruptive peaceful protests outside their site in Samlesbury.

Pro-Palestine activists blockading the site has been a regular sight over the past two years, after the Hamas attack in Israel triggered the invasion of the Gaza Strip and the subsequent humanitarian crisis.
But yesterday's protest was particularly disruptive with protestors not leaving the site until after 11am - leaving many workers unable to start their day at work.
