Dear PDSA, does my pet need treats in their diet? Darius.

Hi Darius, treats are perfectly named, as they are a 'treat'. They aren't essential for pets as they should get all the nutrients they need from their complete main food, so if you're looking to save costs or even help your pet's weight, you can cut out or down on giving your pet shop-bought treats, instead you can use ten per cent of their usual complete food as snacks throughout the day.
