Cops eventually stop vehicle on A71

A stolen Amazon van was chased through the streets of an Ayrshire town before it crashed with a police car at the weekend.

Police were called to North Hamilton Street in Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon after the van, a Ford Transit delivery van, was stolen.

It was soon spotted around a mile away on Portland Street where police attempted to stop the van.
