River Island store set to close in town centre

A retailer is pulling the plug on one of their Ayrshire stores in a blow to the region's high streets.

River Island confirmed last week that their Kilmarnock store is one of five in Scotland which will close.

The clothes retailer announced plans to close 33 shops across the United Kingdom.

River Island's store in Ayr is set to avoid the axe and it will be the only one left in Ayrshire.
