Hospice opens new in-patient unit

Senior staff at the Ayrshire Hospice marked a major milestone in their multi-million pound redevelopment... by opening the doors to their new In-Patient Unit at Racecourse Road.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place before the new unit was declared officially open.

And, as of this morning, the hospice began welcoming patients and their families into their purpose-built facility, designed with comfort, privacy and dignity at its heart.

The unit includes 12 private en-suite bedrooms, peaceful garden patios, cuddle beds, and room for loved ones to stay close.

Every element has been thoughtfully designed to give patients and families a sense of home.
