Attempt murder rap man arrested

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with "attempted murder" after armed police were called to a disturbance in Ayrshire.

Emergency services raced to Cross Street in Galston after the alarm was raised at around 8.05am on Saturday.

Officers were responding to reports of a 55-year-old man having been injured on the street.
