Asian supermarket opens

Ayrshire’s first oriental food store has opened to customers.

Matthew’s Foods, one of Scotland’s top oriental retailers, opened the doors to their newest premises in Kilmarnock and customers have been quick to get their hands on the products available.

Occupying the the former Bright House shop on Portland Street at Kilmarnock Cross, the new outlet brings a vacant unit in Kilmarnock town centre back into use.

More recently, the store operated as a furniture shop called Elegance.
