OBJECTIONS HAVE BEEN RAISED AGAINST THE PLANS
A POPULAR seaside refreshments kiosk is set to be flattened and replaced.
Plans to completely replace the West Bay Kiosk on Sea Road, West-gate-on-Sea, were first submitted to Thanet District Council (TDC) in February 2024.
The proposals were to demolish the existing one and for the “creation of an enlarged kiosk with dual serveries facing the highway and the beach”.
“The kiosk is a small timber-framed, single-storey retail kiosk located upon the promenade and to the north of Sea Road,” the documents read.
