NHS's gym for boxing helps to KO mind woes

THE NHS has opened a boxing gym to boost peoples mental health.

It provides therapeutic, non-contact boxing and also supports those with learning disabilities, Parkinson's and dementia.

About 3.8 million people were in contact with NHS England for mental health, learning disability and autism services in 2024 - up by almost two-fifths since before the pandemic.
