Traffick fear for 28 Tusla missing kids

THE head of Tusla is worried that 28 young people missing while in their care are at risk of trafficking or exploitation.

Child Protection Agency chief Kate Duggan made the shock admission before the Oireachtas Children’s Committee.

She told how 12 of these missing kids vanished this year while the whereabouts of 13 others are unknown since 2024, and the three others are unaccounted for a bit longer.

Ms Duggan was responding to a series of questions about the missing children from Senator Sharon Keogan.
