Supreme Saffrons stun the Banner

THREE first-half goals into the wind laid the foundations as Antrim to claim the Very Camogie League Division 1B title on the NGDC's main pitch in Abbotstown.

With a two-point interval lead, Antrim kept the scoreboard ticking over to prevail by five.

Katie Molloy and Caitrín Dobbin landed early points for Anrim, before Clare's first attack yielded a score from Caoimhe Carmody, before a goal from Dobbin put Antrim four up.

Nicole McAtamney's long drive down the middle found open ground. Dobbin ran onto the sliotar, broke one challenge and rifled low to the net.

The Bannerwomen responded, with a couple of scores, from Ellen Casey and the first of five pointed frees by Ziyan Spillane.
