THEY'RE ELECTRIC Oasis fans in full voice at Sunday's Croker gig

- BY SANDRA MALLON Showbiz Editor

QUAKERMAKERS

OASIS fans made the ground quake as far as Tipperary and Wexford from Croke Park last weekend, we can reveal.

More than 160,000 gathered at the Dublin GAA venue for the long anticipated reunion tour of the band last Saturday and Sunday.

Now data scientists at the Dublin Institute For Advanced Studies - who recorded seismic activity for Taylor Swift's Aviva Stadium concerts - have recorded and released Oasis tremors.

Researchers have revealed Oasis fans created the biggest tremors when they jumped to their song Cigarettes and Alcohol.

Energy at the frequency corresponding to the beat of the song (129 beats per minute, or 2.15Hz) can definitely (maybe) be detected more than 100km away from Dublin at the INSN stations in Wexford and Tipperary.

This is similar to what was observed during Swift's concerts in the Aviva stadium in June last year, where the largest amplitude recorded during the song Shake It Off was also observable at these large distances.
