Funeral tributes to teen who died at festival

THE funeral mass of teenager Mia Keevan who died after a music festival last weekend heard she was a special girl who had big plans for the future.

The 17-year-old passed away in hospital last Sunday hours after falling ill at the Emerge music festival at the Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast.

The packed church of St Nicholas in her hometown of Carrick-On-Suir, Co Tipperary, heard Mia was loving and full of life and was someone who “ran her own race”.
