Hundreds attend funeral of man who died in Bolivia

A YOUNG man who died when the 4x4 he was travelling in overturned in South America was described at his funeral mass as a free spirited adventurer who loved life.

Oisin Hoy, 29, from Clontarf in Dublin, was among a group of seven in a Toyota Landcruiser when the accident occurred on Bolivia's salt flats last month.

More than 1,000 mourners attended the funeral mass at St Gabriel's Church in Clontarf yesterday, and such were the crowds that many mourners had to stand outside as there was no room inside.
