CONAN: ULSTER WIN IS ANOTHER STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

LEINSTER did enough to take all five points from Ulster on Friday but it came with mixed reviews stemming from contrasting halves.

Ulster racked up three first-half tries as they took a 17-7 lead into the break; two missed conversions would prove costly in the end.

Three second-half tries unlocked the northern effort but it had been a close-run thing agreed Man of the Match Jack Conan.

"It's back to the drawing board, Munster next week, who, obviously, we failed to flatter against them the last time.

"I know we haven't been at our best so far, but we're putting little bits together every week.
