April is a beautiful month in the garden. There is an abundance of blossoms from trees and shrubs and early perennials are starting to flower. Tulips and other spring bulbs sprinkle colour across our gardens too.

There are many treasures, from tiny to large, to look out for and to consider including in your outdoor space. Woodland floors are waking up and you will see plenty of lesser celandine, a cheerful bright yellow flower and tucked in beside it, the modest wild viola.
