Roy Show.. legend helps kick Xmas special into overdrive

HUNDREDS of thousands of children, as well as hundreds of thousands of adult children, gathered in front of televisions throughout the country for last night's Late Late Toy Show.

There were dazzling dance displays, heartwarming moments and plenty of toys as the usual Late Late Show studio was transformed into Whoville and host Patrick Kielty stepped into his role as the Grinch.

The theme of the extravaganza, The Grinch, paid homage to Dr Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas, originally released in 1957.

Yesterday's toy special was peppered with amazing performances of Christmas classics and songs of the year, leaving viewers singing and dancing along at home for every minute of the show.

Roy Keane made an appearance also, helping two friends play a tower of toys game to win lots of toys for charity and telling them just how great he thought they were.

While the show had plenty of guests appear over video call, Roy was the first celebrity to appear in the studio.
