RUN! Tsunami warnings for Hokkaido's Pacific coast flash over TV footage of a local shore after quake yesterday

A DRAMATIC TV alert warning “Tsunami! Run!” flashed on screens after a powerful 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck off northern Japan yesterday.

The quake triggered a tsunami of up to 50cm in Pacific coast communities and warnings of surges of up to 10ft. Atleast 23 people were injured.
