Tragic car crash mum laid to rest tomorrow

HEARTBREAKING tributes are being paid to a young mum who tragically lost her life in a crash on Thursday morning.

Emma Mackarel, 37, from Co Fermanagh, became the third person to die on the Republic of Ireland's roads in just 12 hours after her car was involved in a collision with a lorry on the N2 at Annalitten, Co Monaghan at around 8am.

The lorry driver, a foreign national aged in his 50s, was arrested and remained in garda custody on Thursday night.
