Silverstone will stage a 2026 Sprint

SILVERSTONE will host a Formula One Sprint race next year as chiefs consider radical changes to the format.

Having hosted the first ever F1 Sprint in 2021, the British Grand Prix will be one of six events to feature two races in 2026.

That is the same number as the current season, though it is understood that figure could double in 2027.
