Tomas's holiday to watch Tour de France ends in tragedy

TRIBUTES have been paid to a young cyclist that tragically died in an accident while on holiday in Paris.

Tomas Walsh, 25, from Waterford, was in the capital to watch the 16th stage of the Tour de France when the tragedy occurred.

A spokesperson for his cycling club, Comeragh Cycling Club, said Tomas died in an accident in a Metro station in Paris on Monday.

However, the club said the exact details were unclear as of last night.
