REALISATION has been frustrating to follow over fences, starting at relatively short odds on all six chase starts without winning, and she tends to finish weakly after travelling up well in her races.

She doesn’t sound an ideal bet based on the bare facts, then.

But her best effort - and the one time she finished notably well - came on this card last year when running on to be beaten a diminishing neck by Hurlerontheditch in a 2½f am handicap chase from a mark of 110.

Those looking for reasons to expect a similar showing here will note that her run here 12 months ago was her second after a breathing operation, and she has again had a prep run this time, finishing a close fourth to subsequent winner Hello Judge at Carlisle, where the stiff finish again caught her out.
