Prendergast on top as Irish take ODI series

ORLA Prendergast (above) and Alana Dalzell both put in remarkable performances to help deliver an ODI series win for Ireland over Zimbabwe in Belfast yesterday.

Proceedings opened at Stormont with Zimbabwe Women winning the toss and choosing to bat first under overcast skies.

The visitors went on to post 178being bowled out in the 50th over. Skipper Chipo Spiwe-Tiripano struck 56 and Modester Mupachikwa hit 45.
