Pair fail in bid to have murder rap overturned

TWO men convicted of murdering a man whose body was found with 20 stab wounds have failed to convince the Court of Appeal they were “accessories after the fact” and should have their convictions overturned.

Stephen Tynan, 46, a father-of-two, of Kiltipper, Tallaght, Dublin, and Raymond Fitzgerald, 41, of Killinarden, Tallaght, had both pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Tynan’s cousin Andrew Guerrine at an unknown place between May 22 and May 23, 2015.
