IT BEGAN with the forging of the great Lord of the Rings video games.

Three were given to the PlayStation 2 generation, the most timeless and iconic of movie-to-game adaptations.

Four were given to the PC supremacists, the wisest and fairest of all gamers.

And two. Two games were gifted to the 'next-gen' console idealists. Xbox One and PS4 fans who, above all else, desired quality graphics.

But the hearts of gamers are easily corrupted.

Oversaturation festered, fatigue kicked in, and long ago, in the year 2017, the age of good Lord of the Rings games came to a close.

And some things, that should not have been forgotten, were lost.
