Stewards to stop tourists from taking a shine to Malone's boobs

STEWARDS are being hired to prevent sleazy sightseers from molesting the Molly Malone statue.

Dublin City Council announced the measures yesterday and insisted it wasn't an April Fool's Day joke.

Council chiefs confirmed that stewards will patrol around the famous landmark located on Suffolk Street in south Dublin on a pilot basis starting in May.

They will operate in the same way as the ones at the Dublin Portal, introduced after a spike in anti-social behaviour last year.
