Harris eyes a ceasefire and hostage release deal

TANAISTE Simon Harris said the second phase of the ceasefire and hostage release deal in Gaza must be implemented as he travels to talks in Luxembourg today.

The Foreign Affairs Minister will be attending the first-ever sitting of the EU-Palestine High-Level Dialogue.

The Tanaiste said: “We are continuing to witness absolutely appalling and heartbreaking scenes in Gaza. We need an urgent end to hostilities and a massive scale-up of humanitarian aid.

“We need all parties to return to talks aimed at implementing the second phase of the ceasefire and hostage release deal.”
