I FEEL obliged to allow my in-laws to move in with me.

Gutted to find my hubby is a cheat

In-laws want to move in

They're pushing me to give up my bedroom and en-suite bathroom for them.

My husband (their only son) died last year.

I'm still young and plan to find love again with a new partner.

Only they insist it's their right to move in with me, so that I can take care of them.

My house is large, and my mortgage is paid off, but I have no desire to effectively run a free care home.

Yet when I tell them that I have dreams on my own, I'm told that I'm insensitive and selfish because they're family and have needs. How do I put them off?

JANE SAYS: I can't begin to image the grief of your in-laws after the death of their son. I suspect they feel lost and vulnerable.

Show them kindness and respect. Reassure them that you intend to keep in contact and support them - but you can't house them as you have a life to get on with.

Don't let them grind you down or make you feel guilty. Help them to look at their options and get other family members to pitch in too.

Don't forget that they've enjoyed their lives.

I BOOZE TO EASE AGONY

I WAS stunned when my neighbour stormed that my husband was sleeping with his wife.

I confronted my bloke, and he (eventually) admitted every- thing. But now other, past, lovers have come out of the woodwork, and I don’t know who he is.
