Cork & Tipp fans scramble for stadium pass

- BY DANNY DE VAAL

A FANZONE will welcome thousands of Cork hurling fans pack into SuperValu Pairc Ui Chaoimh to watch their heroes take on Tipperary.

Many missed out on tickets to Sunday’s All-Ireland Final in Croke Park - which could see the Liam MacCarthy cup return to Leeside after a 20-year absence.

Cork GAA said it wants as many people as possible to soak up the atmosphere and decided to open up the city’s stadium so fans can watch together.

The clash will be shown at the stadium on big screens with entertainment from Cork’s RedFM before and after the decider.

Punters need to get a free ticket to attend the Rebels’ Fanzone with gates open at 2pm ahead of the 3.30pm throw-in.
