BYD Dolphin Surf has classic 'edge'

WHAT'S in a name? The BYD Dolphin Surf is the newest name for the BYD Seagull in its home Chinese market and Dolphin Mini in some others.

I'd say MINI parent BMW may have had a word.

It was recently launched in Rome, which was a good choice with its narrow streets and hard-to-find parking. Italy may also have been chosen because in China, its nickname is the “Mini Lamborghini".

This is not only because of its angular styling, but also because BYD head designer Wolfgang Egger used to work at the Itlian sports car manufacturer. Let me know if you can see it?
