Sometimes it goes with the territory at Connacht but he admits he was never involved in anything quite as wild as going down to 12 men at one point during Saturday's game against the Springboks.

"That's a first, isn't it?" said Aki following his 80-minute roller-coaster. "It was a good challenge.

We knew there would be times in the game when the s*** was going to hit the fan. But we look each other in the eye and say, 'I've got your back, you've got mine, let's go after it together'.
