BOURNE WINNERS ARE TOO POWERFUL FOR VISITORS SLIGO

SHELBOURNE completed a clean sweep of wins over Sligo Rovers this season to keep their push for Europe firmly on track.

- BY PAUL O'HEHIR

The outgoing champions relied on an own goal -- although Daniel Kelly was claiming it - with nine minutes to go to tip the contest their way.

And John Martin then sealed the points at the death as Joey O'Brien's substitutions made the difference to see off stubborn opponents for the fourth time this year.

The Bit O'Red snatched an early lead with Cian Kavanagh stabbing home at close range (left) before Mipo Odubeko equalised 10 minutes later with a thunderbolt.

Shels piled on the pressure throughout the second-half but were struggling to find a way past Sam Sargeant who made a slew of impressive saves.
