Blathnaid's 'life-changing' diagnosis

RTE star Blathnaid Treacy has opened up about the signs and symptoms that led to her being given an ADHD diagnosis 18 months ago - a condition which frequently goes undiagnosed in women until adulthood.

The RTE star shared that while she had experienced symptoms all her life, they "exploded" after she became a mum to daughter Nancy back in 2023, which led her to seek a referral privately.

ADHD typically manifests differently in women compared to men, often leading to underdiagnosis or misdiagnosis.

With this in mind, Blathnaid took to social media to highlight her own symptoms in a bid to raise awareness of how the condition can present for many women.
