Beto isn't a gamble for boss Moyes

OF all the players that David Moyes has improved at Everton, perhaps his greatest feat is transforming Beto into a dangerous Premier League striker.

Beto was hugely disappointing before Moyes arrived in January and had managed just eight goals - four of those were in the cups - in his one-and-a-half seasons at Goodison Park.

Moyes sprinkled his magic dust on him and he came into last night's game with five goals in his last eight games.

The Guinea-Bissau international proved a real handful, even for the great Virgil van Dijk (above left, battling for the ball with Beto).
