THERE is something elemental about this All-Ireland club final, a meeting of two communities who have travelled very different roads to arrive at the same destination: Croke Park.

For Daingean Uí Chúis, this is uncharted territory.

Never before have they contested an All-Ireland senior club final and the novelty of it all still hangs in the air.

County champions for the first time since 1948, Munster champions for the first time ever, and now one game from immortality, Dingle’s journey has been fuelled by resilience, nerve and an uncanny knack for delivering when everything seems lost.

They have stared into the abyss more than once.
