€2m trial for electronic tags scheme

JUSTICE Minister Jim O'Callaghan has announced plans for a yearlong electronic tagging trial at a cost of more than €2million.
His department yesterday published a tender for the competition which will see as many as 50 electronic tags fitted in a 12-month period.
