Gallaghers lie low as fan frenzy heightens, Biggest ever concert screens being built ahead of celebration
THE stage is set for two of the biggest music concerts in recent Irish history as Oasis get ready to rock Croke Park this weekend.
Excitement amongst fans has reached fever pitch as work on the stage was well underway in Dublin last night.
As workers built the giant stage inside the stadium, a spokesperson for the promoters told us that fans will be blown away by “the biggest high-resolution screen ever installed for an Irish concert. It is the full width and height of Croke Park.”
Oasis star Bonehead, 60, spent a day off in Dublin swimming in the sea with his bandmates ahead of their two-night run at Croker.
The guitarist, real name Paul Arthurs, shared a handful of photos with his fans on social media of himself and drummer Joey Waronker, 56, taking a dip in the Irish Sea with the caption: “Yes Dublin.”
Over on Instagram, Bonehead, who was part of the original Oasis line up when the band formed in 1991, shared some more photos from his “day off” including one of Dublin landmark the Poolbeg Chimneys.
He also shared an image of him and Joey stood on Shankill Beach near Killiney in the sunshine. “Rhythm section minus the bass,” he captioned the post, referring to Oasis bassist Andy Bell, “but he’s in the sea somewhere”.
Bonehead, who has Irish parents, previously teased devotees of the Britpop group they could be making a setlist change while in Dublin to include a fan favourite.
