Sinn Fein member kicked out of party

SINN Fein has expelled a party member after her partner was arrested as part of a massive cross-border investigation into an alleged far-right plot to attack a mosque.

Two men have already been charged over the alleged plot and officers from the anti-terror Special Detective Unit made their move on a third suspect in an operation on Wednesday.

We have learned that the suspect's partner was a member of Sinn Fein in the Leinster area - but has now been expelled. Sources insisted the man himself was never a member of Sinn Fein.
