A SPIKE in unprovoked attacks on the Indian community has shown Ireland at its worst.

Social media has been a hotbed for racists to spew hatred for the last number of years.

For far too long, abhorrent and vile views have been given too much space and allowed to infect others and we're now seeing the real-world consequences.
