Queen Katie Boulter set up a battle of Britain with Sonay Kartal after crushing world No.44 Lulu Sun.

Boulter (right), aiming for a hat-trick of victories at the tournament, opened her defence with a convincing 6-2 6-2 victory over the Kiwi.

Sun, who beat Emma Raducanu last year on her way to the Wimbledon quarter-finals, was a stiff challenge on paper but Boulter, 28, swatted her aside to delight her army of East Midlands fans.
