Bryson expects sparks to fly with Trump on course for USA charge

- FROM NEIL McLEMAN IN BETHPAGE

LEADER OF THE TEE WORLD

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU wants Donald Trump to inspire Team USA to victory in an “electric environment” at the Ryder Cup.

And the LIV Golf star promised to get the home crowd “riled up” in his role as chief cheerleader at the People's Country Club.

Bethpage Black is a public golf course located 30 miles east of Times Square. But for the next three days this corner of Long Island will be at the centre of the golfing world - and the noise will be heard around the planet.

Trump, a huge golf fan, will be the first sitting president to attend a Ryder Cup today as America bids to win back the trophy lost in Rome two years ago.

And DeChambeau, who attended Trump's victory party after last year's election, believes his mere presence will help Make America Great Again on the golf course.

“I hope he will inspire us to victory,” said the double Major champion.
