Kicking up a storm over end of hot weather

IRELAND'S sunny spells will come to an end in the south of the country as Met Eireann has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning.

Three counties have been alerted that a thunderstorm could cause damage today.

The warning is valid for Cork, Kerry and Limerick from 9am until 6pm this evening.

A yellow warning indicates that weather is unlikely to pose a threat to the general population, however, it can be dangerous on a localised scale.
