JAMES WARNS FANS TO DEAL WITH DELAYS
Irish Daily Mirror
|June 12, 2026
REECE JAMES has warned England fans to get used to weather delays.
The Three Lions were caught up in a storm in their final pre-World Cup friendly in Orlando (below) as a thunderstorm delayed kick-off by an hour.
It left TV viewers waiting for the game while the England fans in America had to take shelter from the torrential rain.
Players stayed in their hotel 10 minutes down the road before getting the all-clear that the game was going to go ahead.
It is commonplace in the United States where there are strict rules on electrical storms.
No one is allowed outside after a lightning strike for 30 minutes and matches cannot resume until there is 30 minutes without lightning within a 10-mile radius.
