We're under rattack as rodents' activity here rises massively

THERE has been a significant rise in the activity of rats across Ireland in 2025, according to a leading pest control provider.

Rentokil has reported an increase of 12% in rat activity in 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. Rats remain one of the most common pest issues affecting Irish properties.

Colm Moore Regional Technical Manager for Rentokil, said he knows the reason why the disease carrying pests are on the rise.
