DEAN HEALY is yet another inter-county GAA player well into his 30s doing the business at an incredibly high level.

For Healy (33) see the likes of Michael Murphy (35), Paul Conroy (35), Paul Geaney (34), Mattie Donnelly (34) and Peter Harte (34), with a very honourable mention for goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton (43).

Healy was outstanding in Wicklow's Leinster quarter-final defeat by Dublin earlier this year. And he was the late match winner at the weekend as Oisin McConville's side caused a big upset in defeating Westmeath in the Tailteann Cup quarter-final.

Wicklow operated in Division 4 this year, finishing third, and will remain there in 2026, while Westmeath were in Division 2, although they were relegated to Division 3.
