Fury on Turkey's streets after Erdogan rival is held in swoop
VIOLENT protests have swept across Turkey following the arrest of President Erdogan’s main political rival.
Ekrem Imamoglu was yesterday charged with a string of offences, including corruption.
In Ankara, protesters blocked Ataturk Boulevard and clashed with police who used tear gas and water cannons.
On Friday, 343 people were arrested.
