Lyons-trained Letter to stamp her authority

CLASSY Juddmonte filly Red Letter should earn valuable winning black type in today’s listed Darley Irish EBF Kooyonga Stakes in Navan.

The 111-rated Frankel filly has raced only four times, competing in Group 1 company on two occasions. And, dropping into these calmer waters, it will be surprising if she fails to register a second success.

With stable-jockey Colin Keane in Epsom to partner The Lion In Winter for Ballydoyle/Coolmore, Gary Carroll will be on board this Ger Lyons charge and, despite a high draw, she should outclass her 13 rivals, with recent rain, undoubtedly, helping her prospects.

Red Letter bumped into none other than Lake Victoria on her debut, on Irish Derby weekend at the Curragh almost a year ago.
