Brownil cuts clown Blades to put Burnley in top flight

- BY DAVID ANDERSON X@MirrorAnderson

FINE CLARETS

BURNLEY'S Captain Marvel Josh Brownhill joked the Clarets have “bored” their way to the Premier League after they sealed promotion against Sheffield United.

Top-scorer Brownhill starred for Burnley, scoring both their goals, and he claimed Scott Parker's side had triumphed, despite all the criticism.

They were labelled dull, yet have gone 31 league games unbeaten, are undefeated at Turf Moor and have conceded a miserly 15 goals.

Brownhill said: “We've been written off so many times, people calling us boring. We've bored our way to the Premier League!

“All that hard work this season, it takes a whole team. It's not just the back-four, a goalkeeper, it takes everybody. I'm so buzzing for the lads who haven't played Premier League football before.”
